about

Absorption is part one of a collection of experimental home recordings from Pilesar's earliest days as a 4-track enthusiast. Found here is a sampling of brooding soundscapes, molested tape collages, lo-fi thrash prog and various other misguided attempts at "breaking new ground". The creation of this album literally killed Pilesar's first 4-track (may it rest in peace)!

This set contains the original versions of "You Know I Hate Okra" and "Frank and Verner" which would be later culled for the Radio Friendly album (2010).

about

Pilesar Washington, D.C.

Pilesar (pronounced pie-LEE-zur) was the main musical outlet for Jason A Mullinax between the years 1998- 2014.

Pilesar was a conjuror of idiosyncratic lo-fi pop ditties, rhythmically dense improvisations and wildly eclectic live performances.

The albums represented here are an archive of his best material throughout the years.
